About Us
Chefs on the Mountain is a culinary festival taking place over the course of two weekends in 2020, created and hosted by The Capra, a luxurious five-star boutique hotel in the heart of the pristine and picturesque ski resort of Saas-Fee, Switzerland. The village has a deep-rooted culture in hospitality and also has some hidden gems to offer when it comes to dining. This makes it an ideal place for high-flying cooks to slow down, to recharge with nature and to replenish new energy.
For the fifth consecutive year, Chefs on the Mountain offers leading international chefs the opportunity to participate in the creation of a range of exclusive menus served in The Capra’s Brasserie restaurant during the event.
The guests of Chefs on the Mountain have the opportunity to dine on the exclusive menus and have an unprecedented access to the chefs, whether in the kitchen or the restaurant during the course of the event.
The menus created contain ingredients that come from the mountain region of Saas-Fee and Switzerland, if possible. Fantastic Swiss wines, which are often difficult to obtain in other European countries, are served alongside the created menus and are explained by wine connoisseurs throughout.

Elena Maureen Dietz – The Capra’s Head Chef
Exploring the world in the realm of the stars. I never let go of this fascination.
After completing my apprenticeship with Heinz Winkler, my constant curiosity led me to Italy, South Korea and Switzerland.
Always looking for the original taste and new, unadulterated creations, combined with the flavors of this world.
